Ahhhh....yes, that helps. A coupler such as from McMaster-Carr would do the job just fine, with one half Locktited, CA'd, or epoxied permanently onto either pushrod. No LH threads needed! If you go to any hardware store, you'll find coupler nuts and "Redi-Rod" (aka "All Thread"), that will give you the idea of what you're getting into. It would be much slicker to have an internal threaded insert in the end of one pushrod or the other. I'd for sure check at Central Hobby in Montana and see if they have the parts already.
Trying to think of another way to do it...I guess you could put a
false flap horn ("Idler Arm") at the TE and unhook from that?
