Title: Thoughts and Prayers for a Friend

    A lot of you guys that live or have lived in the midwest area and have been flying stunt since the early 80's might know a friend of mine, Gary Hajek, Gary is a friend to many of us and helped a LOT of us along the way in our pursuit of a good pattern. Gary and I used to ride together to contests all over the midwest and he is also along time member of the Lafayette Esquadrille control line club.
   Gary's wife Cindy passed away Thursday evening after suffering a heart attack several days earlier. Cindy was a great lady, great sense of humor, and always a treat o talk to. It's a terrible time to loose a spouse at any time of year but especially at this time, so please add Gary, his daughter Sarah and Gary's family and friends to your thoughts and prayers.

We will pray for Gary and his family.  Beth and I spent an some time with her and Gary one evening, very nice lady.  Terrible loss for Gary.

Gary is one of my all time favorite nats buddies and this really hurts.  I'll put him and the family on the FCM prayer chain as well as send my own prayers for them.
Dan, you're spot on with your thoughts, it's bad enough any time, but right now...wow.

Thanks for the info from the old DOC.  I was just thinking of him the other day.  Don't believe I ever me his wife.  Now on prayer list. :(

I spent a lot of time at the Hajek's when I first moved to St. Louis and Gary became my Stunt coach at Buder Park for some time. Cindy cooked many a meal that she graciously shared with a lonely guy, new to town. So long, Cindy.

   If anyone wished to send Gary a card, send me a PM and I'll forward you his address. I will be leaving soon for the visitation tonight and burial is tomorrow morning.
