Strega 40?
« on: August 15, 2007, 05:39:30 PM »
Howdy folks,

 In the last issue of Stunt News, I spotted a photo of a gentleman holding up what was described as a Strega .40. Has anyone ever kitted this? Are there plans available? What are the specs?

Thanks!

IF it was in my District 3 column. I took the photo of Ron Lutz holding his Strega 40.

Windy has the plans. I think some others do as well.

On the day I took the photo I launched & watched his flights, good flying plane. He has had engine problems but Ron said when the engine is running right the Strega flys super.

I've also seen the Cardinal 40 fly very well also.

At least at one point Windy had plans for several of his designs in "40" size.  Can't remember exactly which ones,. Cardinal & Strega, for sure.

Hi Wynn
Thanks for emailing the plans over, you might notice my name on the credits in the corner, my originals were produced on good old fashioned Mylar and were never digitized and your copied version is missing the copyright rules.
Ordinarily I used to get super heated about my plans being copied as It takes many hours to produce them and they sell for very little but as I don’t print and ship these plans its good that they are obtainable as long as you are not charging for them.
Windy still ships some of the prints himself.
You can catch him at 201 896 8740
I produced a variety of designs based on Windy’s 60 plus size planes
The Strega 40 is my favorite and I asked John Brodak if he would consider kitting it but he does have a limited number of projects he can work on each year as he personally writes the booklets and so it is at the back of the line.
The 40 series included;
The Strega 40
Cardinal Evolution 40 (named by Windy as such, I always preferred Cardinal 40)
Tsunami 40
Typhoon 40
I also produced the full size drawings for the Typhoon, Miss Ashley Paul Walker Mustang etc.
Hope this bit of info helps.
Eliott

Hello Wynn:
    I would like a copy of your plans also. Maybe if I build it light enough I can find a home for my fox 35. Thanks.

Sincerely;
