I know this has been posted B4 but this is so cool.

Anyone know if plans were done for these planes?

That is cool.  Now if anybody has a picture of Jim Sumner's plane from this weekend, POST IT.  The plane had 26 wings!  It was insane

I have often wondered about plans for this one too. This would be a great airplane(s) for demos.

I think it was in Flying Models, sometime in the '80s, designed by Dick Sarpoulus. At least, he did something like this. Hm-m-m, I think Scarinzi did something similar, too.

The first time anything like this was published was in RCM and it was designed by Ken Willard. It was R/C, used a 10 sized engine or thereabout. As most of the long time hobby people know Ken Willard was the master of smaller sized models.
The plans are still available from RCM plan services. It was also presented as a C/L model but I'm not sure when or by who.

Sure sems to me that RCM had one published But I cannot prove they have the plan available any longer...

This search has some good info: http://www.altavista.com/web/results?itag=ody&q=%22Ken+Willard%22+%22blue+birds%22&kgs=1&kls=0

See link below, Bill Darkow flew one at Chehalis OR event. He should have basic info -span / chord / tail volume / tie bar length / power / tank.

Go for it- build the Blue Angels or Thunderbirds, or get REALLy CRazy and do the Snow Birds 9-man Diamond!!!!
