Title: Thinner
Post by: Ty Marcucci on November 13, 2010, 03:34:57 PM
Several times people on here have asked what is in thinner.  Well, here is the listing on a quart can of Randolphs Butyrate thinner.
Toulene, Acetone, Methyl Ethyl Ketone, Methyl Isobutyl Keytone, Isopropyl Alcohol, Diacetone Alcohol, Propylene Glycol Monomethyhl Ether Acetate.  Whew, talk about a cheap high.  Use lots of fresh air guys.  D>K

That's one of the differences between men and wimmin.  We like them smells.  And of course, we can write our name in the snow.

I like Hoppes #9 gun solvent, myself.  A little behind the ears, a dab on the inside of her thighs...  Underneath some ample breasts...

Hey, I gotta go.

The summer I got out of high school had me working at a shipyard.  Ingall's, in Pascagoula.  MS.  Now known as Northrop Grumman.  I was a painter's helper.  $4.65 / hr.  We used MEK as a degreaser.  My hand used to get all dried out of natural oils and turn yellow for a day or two.  55 gal drums of the stuff were everywhere.  Got a shot in the eye by some thinner we called 44-40.  Woke my ass up, for sure.  Then again, the amount of rust dust I inhaled from running the biggest wire brushes air would power didn't help, I'm sure.  I point north on a quiet evening, though I lean a little to the right.  What a filthy job.

Gonna die with my right hand rotting off and half blind due to an LHA that kept us safe from the Rooskies.  They've probably retired them by now.  I know of a DD that is retired at the Navy Yard in DC that was on the other side of the yard while I was there.

I outlived the useful life of a Navy destroyer.  Guess I should feel okay about that.  Too big to ski behind anyway.  Screw it.
