Hello Gil, I have been using Dupli-color medium temp laquer thinner with great success.
I buy it at the local Kragen Auto Parts store for 14 bucks a gallon (much cheaper than $18.00 a quart for Brodak thinner)
Make sure it is the high VOC thinner and NOT the low VOC.      THE LOW VOC THINNER WILL NOT WORK!!!!!!!!!!

It will curddle and turn to snot in the jar after mixing

Give it a try and pass along your results to others. H^^ H^^ H^^ H^^ H^^ H^^

I have used it with Randolph, Certified, (taught and non-taught) Brodak and Sig. Color and clear.

I was mighty jazzed to find this stuff, as it is close, right around the corner, and cheap.

Larry, this sounds too good to be true!

I use Randolph's buty thinner with Randolph's clear and successfully with Brodak and Sig buty color dopes, including Sig clear. Available from Aircraft Spruce in California, no problem getting it delivered. Not as cheap as the Kragen stuff but a lot less than Brodak thinner.

If Larry here believes in this product you KNOW it has to be good. Those of you who have not seen Larry's work are really missing something. I am probably embarassing Larry but he can handle it.

Yep, Larry can really finish...I get to look at the back half of his Stuka every Thursday evening when I go to Warren Walker's for a barbeque/building session.  Unfortunately, I was there when Larry modified the Stuka so it could be mounted on Warren's wall.  Sad story but Larry took it in stride.

When Warren told me what he did with the remains of the Stuka I laughed my a$$ off. What an honor to be memorialized on the "Walker Wall of Shame" !!!!!!
You've gotta take some pictures of this and post it !!!
I'll see all of you clowns next weekend at the Joust.

I will try to remember to take a couple of photos of it on Warren's wall and post them here.
