I've been burning the midnight oil of late finishing my new Caprice for VSC. I still have the Oosa-Amma, and it's in great shape and flies extremely well, but I didn't want to make a 2,371 mile - one way - road trip without a backup plane. I started this one in late October of 2022, and just finished it yesterday.
I'm making this trek with my old buddy, Jim Vornholt, and we are bunking in at Bart Klapinski's house, which is just about 4 minutes from the field. Should be a party!

Great looking plane Bob! If all goes as planned, hopefully I will get to see you and this plane at VSC. This will be my first trip to VSC. Really looking forward to it.

Dennis,
It would be great to see you at VSC. I hope you can join us this year.
Please know that we require a pre-entry. This is so that we can do the myriad of administrative tasks ahead of time and run the contest efficiently.
If you are considering attending, please send in your entry to John Callentine before the 2/28 deadline. We refund all entry fees no questions asked for folks who cannot attend or simply wish to withdraw. We want your info, not your money.
You could even call in your info to John and do the money stuff later if necessary.
Attached is the VSC flyer and entry form.

Hi Jim,
I emailed my pre-entry to John and sent the entry fees through PayPal. We are good to go!
Thanks,
Dennis

...and here's my rendition of Gene's Oosa-Amma. It may be what I fly at VSC; we'll have to see how the Caprice pans out.

Hi Bob,
Oosa-Amma looks great. Great tribute to Gene.
I was wondering if that is a bronze trim on your model? If so, that is something really different. It is rarely seen in the serious stunt circles.
How do you get the bronze? Do you mix it? I know somebody that really needs to get a good bronze on a scale model he is working on.

Beautiful planes. I'm busy hitting myself in the forehead as I type for not instantly getting the Oosa-Amma name when I saw the picture of the wing. Doh !!!

Looks awesome Bob.
Safe travels. Look forward to pictures at the contest.

Looks great Bob! Not that I expected anything less.
