The new Stunt News!
« on: May 31, 2018, 07:18:37 AM »
I just wanted to congratulate Chris and Kayla Rud for the outstanding job they have done with the new Stunt News. It is simply beautiful!

I know just how much work it is to produce this bi-monthly publication, and I was fearful that when Liz, Chuck and I "retired" from doing it the publication would die, and with it PAMPA. I no longer have any of those fears; Chris and his staff are more than up to the task.

Please support them by writing and submitting articles for the pages of Stunt News. That was the biggest challenge for me and for my staff during our time at the helm of SN. Content is critical to keeping the newsletter going, so please supply Chris and staff with stuff to print!

Sorry Mr. Doe, it’s a perk of membership.  Go to the PAMPA website and join up.  It’s well worth the minimal cost.

Many Thanks to all those involved in bring us the latest issue Stunt News and keeping PAMPA running.
I am currently the newsletter editor (as well as Secretary and Treasurer) of Auckland Free Flight Club so know how hard it is to come up with fresh and exciting new content. Often I end up publishing 'history' articles that interest me on famous stunt flyers as well as stunt or scale C/L models of the past just to fill the pages.
To join/subscribe to PAMPA is not expensive especially if you do not need a paper copy like me, join now if you haven't and support the hobby / sport!  y1 #^ ~> #^

It is VERY interesting that on page 15 of the stunt news it says this:

"Dave Trible

We begin.
We begin a new era with new faces in leadership.
We begin a new format for our magazine.
We begin a new website full of up-to-date features."

I thought you guys said it not a magazine?
Not your typical magazine

Well, I think the point is that it is not JUST a magazine but it is the news letter of PAMPA which is an organization dedicated to Control Line Precision Aerobatics ONLY.

There was a period in time when some folks thought it should be a generalized organization for Control Line and most of the members disagreed with them and it is still what is mentioned above, and hopefully will remain that way.

This is not to be rude and anyone is welcome to join but there are by laws etc. to be obeyed!

I appreciate the fact that you are willing to support the organization.

What noone has mentioned yet is that PAMPA membership includes access to past issues of Stunt News. Issues from 2009to present can be opened and read.  A true WEALTH of history, how-tos, and gorgeous pictures, etc. The past issues make membership dues ridiculously cheap.  I have never gotten more bang for the buck.  Also, past issues run over 100 pages typically.   CLP**

Guys, I am in.

I am amazed at the quality of the material in the news letter, or as they now call it, magazine.  What you have is what the AMA fly swatter, advertisement paper should be.  It reminds me of one of Harry Higley's book, NO SECRETS.

I was wondering if one of you could direct me to where the section is that shows who may be in my area that I can fly with?

Thank you.
And now you can access every stunt news punlished in the Pampa Site!!

Just looked at your profile and location says Balsa City FL.   My Microsoft maps doesn't show it.     Now where are you located? HB~>

I find it odd that John Doe has 628 posts, yet his posts make him appear to be new to the community.
Is somebody pulling our leg?

Edit: I just looked at his previous posts. Yes, he has been with us for a while.

My mistake on the back issues Bob. I had been out of the loop for a while and forgot. I would like to say also that although you are no longer involved that much in "STUNT NEWS" BOB, YOU CERTAINLY WON'T BE FORGOTTEN FOR ALL YOU TIME AND EFFORT IN MAKING THE MAGAZINE / AND/ OR NEWSLETTER THE GREAT QUALITY IT IS!
     Much deserving thanks,

Yep, that’s me. The Instigator using his real name.
I have no bone to pick with you. I just thought it odd that you talk like a newbie yet have been around for a bit. A member since 2011 yet you’re unfamiliar with Stunt News?
It just seems odd.

Sir, you have a bone to pick with me or is that you just need people to explain things to you?  Do you think I am a Russian infiltrating your model plane forum so I can affect the mid-term elections?  Who gives a flip how long I have been here besides you?  You give the appearance of a instigator.

John Doe,(Rusty Pieper),

I don't think Jim was instigating anything.  There is just a tradition of using ones real name on this forum.
Laser-cut, "Ted Fancher Precision-Pro" Hard Point Handle Kits are available again.  PM for info.

And we have a pretty long history of people using fake names and "concern trolls" who try to get "subscriptions" but don't want to be members, usually to try to elicit the sort of response that is starting here, and then using it to prove a political point.

Not that this is necessarily the case here, but it definitely seems like a familiar pattern. We don't need to overreact, if all is not as it seems, it will become evident soon enough.

Well, I tell you guys, by all accounts this is cyber bullying.  It is a requirement that one's real name be given to join this site.  I did that.  It is fact that MANY people do not use their real name on this web site.  POOF, there goes any logical justification for bullying me.

If you don't want me in your pampa club, then refund my money.  Had I know this is how you treat new members, I NEVER would have joined.

I have contacted the owner of this web site to find out what he is going to do about members here bullying people.

For what it is worth, for YEARS I used my "REAL" name, but my "REAL" name is the same as somebody else's, so I changed it to STOP IDENTiTY CONFUSION.

So this is what I get for it?  I don't think so guys.  I don't believe Robert is going to accept his website being used for unjustly bullying people.  We will see.

Bullying? What a diaperload.

Everyone Grow up! You must use your real name to register but as many of you do DON'T Have to show your real name. I am totally sick of 50 to 80-year-old men acting like toddlers.
