We're about 99% sure that the 2019 Fly-In will be the last.
I truly hope that is will be the best ever.
The best to date was the 2008 event where we had 165 entrants - I hope we break that record.
Please do your best to attend. Let's make this the best Fly-In ever and go out on a high note!!

Here at NVCL, we are much looking forward to Brodak's 2019. Today's practice went well. Not only did we have flying, but we also had practice judging, evaluating new competitors and officials at the same time.

can't even get out to the field with out undo pain right now.
surgery scheduled on the 7th right before Brodaks.

My plan was to attend and bring Dave Slagle's C/L biplane for a demo flight. But subjecting these old bones to an 11-12 hour drive alone was pretty daunting and put me on the fence. Being part of possibly the last Fly-In took care of that, I'll be there.

Yes, Steve, he's doing much better.

If all goes well, you'll see him around occasionally at the Fly-In.

He's a tough man to keep down!

Glad to hear he is doing better! I will always remember John stepping into the circle to help launch my Ringmaster. It was the 2nd time I went to the Brodak Fly-In with Len (when I was a spectator and helper as I had not learned to fly yet), and I entered Ladies & Youth Basic Flight for the first time. I had just learned how to solo and had not even learned how to do a proper wingover or an inside loop yet. I managed to get my motor started myself and Len launched my plane, but I didn't give it quite enough up on take off and nosed over into the grass. John didn't even hesitate, he just stepped in and helped launch my plane for me so that I could stay out in the middle of the circle and get my first ever contest flight under my belt. I could not thank him enough for the amount of support I felt to give it a try.
