Louie,
The "Hobo" article is almost ready to submit to a magazine. Just a few additions to make. Then, it generally is about 6 months after publications before the kits are allowed. We are extremely happy with the "Hobos" that are flying. It is a true Sport and Intermediate/Advanced airplane. It will do almost anything.

Here is what Bill Hummel said about his prototype "Hobo".

“Hi, Tom,
Flew 8 more flights with the Hobo on Wednesday, all full patterns. The ship continues
to perform admirably! Using both the Double Star 40 plain bearing and a "souped-up"
Fox 35, the Hobo performs all the "tricks" nicely! Also did a little fooling around with some
maneuvers not in the book...this little guy has "character" to spare, and will do anything you
ask of it! Reminds me of a terrier we once had, no fear, and all attitude! I don't believe I
would change anything on future versions; it's a sweet ship to fly! Thanks again for a
really nice and innovative design, Tom!”
Bill"

I had some more flights on my "Hobo" prototype at the Gleason's Fish Fry. I now have an FP .40 in it as part of the program to fly it with several engines.
The more I fly it the happier I am with it, meeting all the design criteria. Did outside triangles with flat bottoms. 1/4 wingovers, horizontal hourglasses (Bow Ties), vertical square eights, super tight loops. The airplane will do ANYTHING that you throw at it. It is a wonderful sport airplane that will perform all the competition maneuvers. It is a great step up from the old profiles. It is just plain fun to fly!
