The drones are like any other toy it takes common sense to play with them.  I yelled at my grand son on how he was flying his little in door helicopter.  Of course I don't think our politicians and lawyer have any common sense.   All they worry about is the money in the back pockets or out of country bank accounts.

 Common sense seems to be none existent these days. Right on target. It is all about the almighty Dollar and who has the biggest bank accounts.

More quadcopters should have a similar fate. What actually happened was the dipchit was flying it too low, and it hit one of the course marker stick thingys after the skier clipped the stick...as they always do. Destruction at its finest. It'd make a great .gif to add to the list of icons, Sparky!  Steve

So this was a professional photographer.  Not some guy out flying it from the crowd. 

And he got in too close.


Two way to look at this.
1) This is terrible quads should be banned for ever. 

2) thanks god is wasn't a full scale helo with a camera crew on board.

Whether it was a Quadrotor or 1:1 scale helicopter, it could easily have been very tragic, and a good enough reason that it should not have been considered prudent by the filming crew. They need to know better than that, and they should know better without regulation.    Steve
