Hey Allen; Looks like everyone is having a good time. Hope your weather holds for the contest. I will be in Wichita for their contest. Looks like temps in the 100's and breezy. We will have fun also. I really enjoyed our little contest at the Sam Champs last year. You do a bang up job of running a contest. Keep us posted. Thanks

Now I see why Howard Terrell was not at the field flying with us.  Out there hob-nobbing with the big guys.  He is the big guy with hat and hands in pockets.  I told John that when he gets his confidence up he is going to pass us like were standing still.  Also great picture of the Adimisin's.  I like all the pictures, especially the one of the Panther in Blue Angels scheme.  Have fun,  DOC Holliday

Congratulations to all of the contestants.

It is interesting that the 8 flights that scored over 500 in Classic Stunt were by the three winners.  Bob McDonald 538-538, Bob Dixon 538-537, Mike McHenry 518-502 and some out of practice retread named Dennis Adamisin 501-502.

Welcome back Dennis, now practice, practice, practice.

I did not have a lot of time to get photo's, but other people took lots. Hope they will post more. Frank tells me he voided parts of the week end. Look for more info on that. Sorry Robert, some days just don't seem to go right. If my memory serves me right, Saturday we had 86 flights and no mishaps. And 71 flights Sunday and no mishaps. It was sunny 89 degrees, with  8 to 10 mph winds. It was truly STUNT HEAVEN again, this week end.

A big thanks to Randi & Russ Gifford, Bill Marvel, and many more who help to make this week end a big success.
Thanks Sig, Randy Smith, Muncie Model and Hobbies, Bob Smith, Horizon Hobbies, AMA, ACE video's, C/L Guy (Crist), (I hope I did'nt leave anyone out It's been a long week.)

Till next year, good by.

Blessings
Allen

Hi All,
For those wondering about the F9F in the Blue Angels scheme, it's all molded balsa fuse & tip tanks using 3/32 4-6 lb stock, foam wing with silk span and finishing resin covering and cored to 1/8 inch.  I tried Windy's technique for that and it's very easy but heavy.  The exhaust exits where the F9F is supposed to thanks to a 1/32" molded tube with epoxy coating inside for strength and fuel proofing.  (Use a balloon to squeeze out the excess epoxy during cure - it weighed 4 grams ready to install.)
I expect the ship is still too heavy to ever be competitive at 80 oz but I'll have fun trimming it after I solve the engine/tank problem that showed up on the initial flight.  (3 laps)  Oh yes, power is a PA75 with a 13.75 x 4.25 three blade Bolly.
This was a LOT of fun building as I love molding balsa to wierd shapes!  Thanks for asking guys, I'll keep you posted as I trim, which may be a while yet before I continue with it.  By the way, it's also tail heavy,  mw~  isn't THAT a surprise!!   HB~>
Blessings,
Will

I've just gotten to my home in Detroit. The contest was great. I took pictures and as I process them I'll post them. There were lots of prople with cameras I'd sure like to see them here.
The first picture I have to offer is of Allen Goff himself. He's a great guy and runs a great show. I'm going back next year. Lord willing.

Great to see that our local guy Howard Terrell got a first.  Nothing to do with our coaching(John Bender & myself) as he is one terrific guy and learner.  I also did not see Big Art's name in the contest listing.  He afraid he is going to beat the kids.  It is so great to see him and the rest of the Adimisin's getting back in.  Maybe next year I may come  out that way.  Have fun,  DOC Holliday

Peter and Don,
The V-tail was designed by my son, Archie, the third generstion to fly stunt. It's called the Gemini and was published in the August 1991 issue of Flying Models. It has a span of 63 inches, wing area of 630 square inches, weighs 50 ounces and is powered by an OS FP .40 that's been blessed by my brother Dave and of course, my dad, Big Art.

Hello Stunt Hanger!!!

I wanted to drop a note to thank Allen Goff and all involved with the organizing and running of the FCM 2007.  What a great experience it was to not only grab on to the end of a stunter again, but to fly in a contest that was centered around the fellowship of modelers.  Thanks to all involved, you really put on a great show!!

I had such a great time, I have already started drawing my next generation of CLPA stunters.  It was so great to be there with my Dad, Grandfather (Big Art) & Uncle Dennis to all be together and fly.  With the recent passing of Grandma Betty, our family has drawn ever closer and this event made it possible for us to do what we love together.

Thanks for posting the pics of the Gemini & Talon.  I can't even believe that the Gemini was new in 1989 & the Talon 1991.  Am I dated?  Well, would you believe I turned 33 this year?  What happened to that tall skinny blonde kid who couldn't build a straight stab?? #^

Thanks so much for a great contest and I look forward to many more.  I hope to see you all @ future events.

I'd also like to take a minute to thannk Allen and all his FCM helpers for a very enjoyable weekend. They did a super job running the event and making it a very enjoyable weekend.

I was wondering if I might ask for some help from someone that was there this weekend?  We brought along with us a Darwin handle and it some how got misplaced during all the shuffling between the car and the pit area. We must have dropped it during all the trips back and forth. If someone found it laying on the ground some where I'd sure appreciate it if I might be able to get it back. It's  brand new factory originally painted. I really can't believe we misplaced it but that's not the only mistake I made this weekend.

     Thanks again, Allen and FCM
