Many of you I have met and flown with at one time or another. Some are my friends and a few closer friends. Some are internet acquaintances and some I have spoke to at one time or another. This is a hard job to make decisions fairly without bias. Please before you type to me or another person think of the consequences I must face from reported threads jabs and nicks. For the most part everyone plays nice but from time to time it gets out of hand.

Yep. Don't bother Robert. I try not to. But sometimes bothering other folks is a mighty temptation difficult to resist.

Will try this again. Several days ago I seen this same message and tried to reply. The computor locked up and I had to reboot to get back to normal. WhenI finally got back on site the message was gone. Now we see if the same thing happens. Yes I remember one person that stated he'she was banned from the site. I ignored the E-Mail back then and still do. Anyway I hope you get it straightened out and I also hope to see all in the coming year.

I didn't see the particular posts so what I state are my feeliings in general.
I think sometimes people get carried away on the 'net, not realizing the consequences of cruel or thoughtless statements. Robert, being an administrator is sometimes a thankless task, but I support you on your decisions when you must step in to remind people, and upon repeat offenders and the gravity of the offense ban them from the forums. Unkind statements do not contribute to discussion and deter others from posting or responding.
Life is short, and when we have something good to contribute that benefits others or is within their interests, these help to promote healthy conversation and further meeting each other on the flying field. HH%%

Just my thoughts:
We, CL Sportsmen, are a slowly dieing breed, because
pc games and other activities kills the CL Sport/Hobby for sure in the long run.
How many Juniors showed up at the Nats ? I guess not many.
If so, it´s just a trop of cold water on a hot stone, because
they will have other prioritys in their future like
Job career ,Family and other activities.
CL Hobby/Sport is very much time consuming which is not everybody´s deal.
One RC foam model is much quicker to get airborne.
So.....it makes absolutely NO SENSE to give us a HARD TIME , because
we will die altogether......sooner ...or.... later.
In fifty years.... nobody will remember about CL .
These are my impressions of my Homeland (Ger).
I strongly belive...this will fit in other countrys too.
Eastern block is totally different ....I guess.

Stunthanger is great site, great spot to post ideas, contest info, find information, everything is good.....now we can build those models and just wait for the warmer weather to come back so we can fly again.

You have a point there, Peter. Back in the 1960's, TV watching by children occupied time that people in the 1940's and 1950's used to build model airplanes. But some of us still found time to do other things. For me, it was building model airplanes that I enjoyed the most.

My father had molds for casting lead soldiers, I still have the molds, although he passed on in 1995. Back in 1961, he'd cast up may be a 150 soldiers. I was in the 1st or 2nd grade then. Put 4 or 5 in small paper bags, for selling at the Parent/Teacher Association (PTA) meetings at the school bazaar, so the school could earn some money. Back then we as kids didn't put these in our mouths. We played with them like we did with other toy soldiers. Nowadays, we'd have the Government authorities upon us for selling such dangerous toys. Nowadays you never hear of lead soldiers. Amazingly, I found someone who still sells molds. :D

The rest I don't recognize. As our world has gotten less tolerant of noise, CL may become a lost hobby. But many of the games and activities people did 100 years have also been forgotten, too. Meanwhile, it is for us to enjoy and as long as one is enjoying what he does, it matters little what others think or not think, or do. ~>
