The polar ice cap is finally retreating back to the North Pole. Looks like spring may have arrived in Ohio. If it holds out we may finaaly see some good flying weather on the northcoast.

Went to Flushing Meadow Park today and it was not spring yet.  A couple of the regulars were flying wearing a hoodie, hat and gloves.   Not much fun in these conditions.

It has rained, been windy, stormy, or just plain too darn cold to go flying in Beautiful, For Lovers. Virginia until today when what do you know happened? I had to go to work in Beautiful Busch Gardens By God! I sure hope all my friends had tight lines and good fun today! Not that I don't love my job you know! I'd have rather been flyin!

ps Are all of you going to Brodak this year?

Three weeks from Wednesday I head home for the summer! Then a little over a month before shipping out to Brodak!!

Here yesterday it was almost dead calm at times.  I watched David Trible flying his plane an the smoke from the pipe just dropped to the ground.   But, what little breeze there was I could fee as it kept shifting around from the east to the south, the west and start back in the east again.  If nothing happens will see all at Brodaks which means I may miss a few local contests.   Yes, within 200 miles is local even for me.

There's still a foot of snow on my flying field, but I'm signed up for my 1st Brodaks.  It will also be my 1st time flying in competition.  Can't wait!

Reservations are made, time has been requested off, now if I can only get my planes done......and oh yeah time to practice.

See everyone there, if I dont fly until I get there it will still be a great time.

Brodak is my favorite vacation.....dont tell my wife  #^ #^ #^

She pretty much already knows anyway

388 miles from North Carolina , counting down the days , it will be good to see some old friends, and we will miss the ones  that have left us .
