It might be expensive to build a stunter now days but try fueling my truck sometime. I pumped a little over 200 gals. this morning and it came to over $800! Sure happy that I drive a company truck.

Try living/working in the UK, it won't be long before it would be cheaper to run the car on 30% heli fuel.
Porky

The Company I work for has over 250 tractors and we're just midwest states. Sure could buy alot of balsa with what they spend on fuel in a day.

Just minutes ago, I checked the price of 100LL and Jet A at the local airport:
100LL--$5.31
Jet A---$5.71
Actually thought it might be higher........(but not much).
Cheers,
Jim

The "Clean Air" Hybrid Bus isn't the answer either, at least this generation of them. There are in the shop more times than out on the road with expensive repairs. >:( It won't be long before there are the next artificial reef!

Don't remember diesel ever being higher than gas until recently. Guess it costs more to process the low sulphur stuff. I don't use allot of diesel but this didn't need to happen just when I need to spend several days on my tractor leveling two new circles. Shortly mowing season starts and it will go even higher.. Can't win for losing..

Wish we could get it that cheap. Over here in UK 200 galls will cost about $2000 and I believe our gallons are smaller than yours :(

The cost of diesel in the Great White North just hit $1.20 per litre. Or $4.80 per US gallon(~3.8 Litres). In imperial gallons(4.54 litres) that works out to $5.45 per gallon. Its a good thing my Jetta gets 55 MPG(imperial). The cost has doubled in the last 4 years. This rise in diesel is going to really starting hurting us in consumer goods as well. Everything seems to be shipped by truck and the rising cost of fuel will have to be passed on to us.. The consumer.. yikes....
