April Flite Log - I really like the way it flys.
« on: April 15, 2008, 03:46:07 PM »
Well I had the day off from work. Weather was very nice. Lite winds and lots of sun shine. Ryan had plans to met me after school. Kreth came out but was not up to flying.
I wanted to try my Green Stunter with the FP 40. (Thanks for the muffler Big Bear)

It is a little hard to start a OS that is inverted. But once I got it running it was grunting to to go. And go it did. It pulls like a mule. Three flight was all I wanted.
I really like the way it flys. I was doing insides and outsides and all kinds of eights. I really like the way it flys. Did I say that already. I like this plane a lot. Flys very nice and the FP pulls like a mule. Did I say that already. I really like the way it flys. #^

Oh yea, and Ryan put his Tutor 2 thru a few patterns. Doing reverse wing overs and wants to learn more. I would pay someone to teach him the full advance pattern before he leaves this fall for collage. Man it just seems a few years a go we were messing with 1/2a's. Boy did he turn into a young man quick fast and in a hurry. Where did the time go?

Yeah Time passes quickly.  My oldest is driving now.  Ryan it huge!  Did he make a college decision?  I can't get either of my boys out to fly airplanes.  My 8th grader is into rockets though, we fly out at Bong state park, about 5 miles from the farm.

Are you coming up to wisconsn this summer?

Yes Ryan has been accepted to Middle Tennessee State University. He wants to get his pilot license and is going into the Aerospace program. They have there own fleet of planes. I think 23 aircraft. I will be broke this time next year. %^

So, Paul,  I guess this means that you like the 40 FP lots better than the old McCoy that you first put in this plane?  #^

Congrats to Ryan.  In state tuition but add flight time will be a lot of $$$.

My kid keeps getting interest from good schools that I can't afford.  I hope he scores a good scholarship.  He visited ND and really wants to go there.  He has the grades, and might get in, but I don't have $50k/year for it.

Hey Mike,
Well if you want to fly that plane it flys better with the FP in it. If you need a good chuckle, then we can put the McCoy back in it and watch me run after it why Zuriel trys to whip it off the ground.
What a fun day that was. LL~

That was a fun afternoon. I'm all for the FP over the McCoy because as much of a laugh as we all got that day, we could never really recreate it.  y1

Wow, when did Ryan get old enough to be looking at going to college? When Ryan goes off to school, who's going to do all the video? He's gotten awfully good at it.
