Info Needed About "Big ART" Adamisin Mufflers
« on: May 29, 2010, 07:54:27 AM »
Does anyone have contact info for Art Sr. ? I know he experienced a  recent health problem and have read that he is recovering- I wish him the best as I'm blessed to have super senior parents(95 & 92) who have  also gone through numerous health issues.  First met Art 40 or more years ago at a  Navy NATS, but doubt that  a man as popular as him who meets lots of folks in this  hobby would have recollection of me .

Anyway, I'd like to communicate with him or one of his sons , if they are handling  inquiries, with just a few questions about his line of  mufflers. It'd  probably be best that we use PM so I don't clog up the airways here.

Thanks,
Frank

Big Art showed up at our contest in Detroit, both days, May 22 & 23.  He seemed to be doing quite well, but maybe not well enough to be back in the parts business.

I believe Brodak stocks some of his mufflers.

Frank, it may surprise you how much Big Art remembers.  I first met him at one of the St Louis Team Trials years ago. H^^

John

Yea, I have experienced one of those Big Art moments too, one of the neatest moments of my life. I had not seen Big Art for about 22 years, since I used to fly back in the mid 80's and that just locally. He built some motors for me and encouraged me as I learned the pattern. Judged my first beginner event which I won. When I returned to stunt about 4 or 5 years ago I was at my first contest at Rouge Park when up comes Big Art towards me with a huge smile on his face and both arms out heading to give me one of his big bear hugs and exclaiming my name and that he'd be darned to see me. That he even remembered me was humbling.  That he spent the contest coaching me was a real wonderful welcome back to the sport.  He is just one of those treasures of the world. He and some of the family joined Rick Sawicki, Frank Carlisle and myself in our biweekly stunt practice sessions last fall. Great fun!
