The "Agromaster" is finally done and ready to fly. ;D

At the very end Keith Sandberg came to my rescue after I was having some major blushing issues in my too-humid shop a few weeks ago. I sent it home with him and he gave it a light sanding and a couple more coats of clear for me and now it's all shiny and happy. The little bugger is now fully assembled with a brand new Fox .25 and ready to test fly at the next opportunity. o2oP

Some more pics...

It looks very kewl. Let us know how it flys.

Very nice Wayne! The Fox.25 should haul it with plenty of gusto- my buddy fles an S-1 Ringmaster on a Fox .25, and it works pretty good. You will have to practice wingovers from 2' altitude to simulate a spray pass with the stall turn at the end- just like the big guys!
How did you do the wing tips? Did you replace the entire tip with a carved block?

Astronaut , aeronaut , Agronaut ? ? LL~ H^^

I really like that! Great job. H^^

The finished plane looks great. I see it is going to be a sport flyer as no AMA numbers. Also no appearance points as you admitted someone else put on the final coats of clear. LL~ LL~ LL~ Just kidding as the base coats is what really make the final appearance of a plane in my opinion. I know of several planes that got appearance points when someone else put final clearon the planes. I hope it flies as well as it looks. Did I say I like it? H^^

Yep, carved and hollowed blocks for the wingtips. I think there are some photos of them in the other posts.

Looking good Wayne. I look forward to flight reports.

cool stuff,, I like it

Me too Wayne. I think it's a grand job, in the best tradition of kit bashing. Are you planning on installing the sray equipment? LL~ LL~
I really look forward to flight reports from Albert Lea.

Thanks guys! Now it's back to the Manx Cat resto project. ;D

One of the fellas in the Dallas club took a profile Twister and made a 'Stunt Duster' out of it. Painted it yellow. Pretty neat plane. Your version appears great.

I put it on the scale tonite and saw 30.3 ounces all up. Not really too bad considering it's got about six more coats of clear than it would have needed. I haven't figured out the wing area yet, but it's got quite a bit more than a stock Akromaster. Once I get the Fox running on song I'm sure it will be just fine for World competition. ;D

I really like this small bird.
