New Gieskie Bear all framed and almost ready for the finnishing to start Will be powered by a Moki 51. That gives it a 12 oz. defacet,but only have to carry 4 1/2 of of fuel. Hope to have done by early spring.

All the product lables that can be read indicate that the photo is not reversed.

Come on guys....you know that Mel's short term memory has been affected by all the glue-n-paint fumes..Nothing is wrong with the photo...Mel just installed the fuselage on upside down. NO BIG DEAL....

Thanks Paul, but I think maybe I am in the minority here and I am sure I will get no recruits to fly my direction, but I have always been a little independent. How do you like that for a long sentence? I am also building a Forse 40 size with grinder wing. I am doing a different Kind of construction on the profile fuseloge. I will send pictures. when I was learning how to build and fly these crazy creations I had no help so had to learn everything by myself. I think there was one modeler that was station at the Fortuna Army station on the Canadian border that used to fly with us. There weren't many Modelers in Plentywood Montana. I think we had 3 at one time so we started a Club. Wow.

last I heard the date was Sept 15? Leo probably knows better since him and Scott are the CD from what I hear. Did I tell you I got the cores from Crist for my 109? they are sweet,,,, I hope to start sheeting them this weekend, just have to make false ribs and lg clips. Yeah I know, its foam but I dont have time right now to invest in a built up wing, this will let me prove the design faster, and fly sooner,, and,, and,,,but the paint should bre pretty? sent you a pm by the way

Bill, the Moki was used before on one of my grinders and I loved the way the engine ran. That motor never missed a beat. This grinder had about 675 square inches and wieghed 58 oz. The Moki 51 is as close to a four stroke as you can get. On a 2-4 break it would up the rpm about 300 rpm and the plane never wound up in the wind. It would do the pattern on 4 1/2 oz. of fuel and it ran great on synthetic fuel. I used Byrons fuel and added about 4 oz of caster to a gallon. I think the Bear presents itself as a bigger plane than it is. I am going to try and keep it under 58 oz. I also have a backup for this motor.

Sounds great, Leo. A engine that works and we have confidence in is a GOOD thing!

I agree, the Bear does present bigger than it actually is, and I like that.

Bill that was what car salsmen call a comeon. I got pictue of P40 Force with a little different body construction after i got skins on both sides it is lighter and stronger than 1/2 inch wood. what the heck I may as well bore everyone with pictures. By the way those gouges on the left were made by me out of file blank. One is real shallow and the other isw smaller and deeper round.

Are short trips OK? For some reason those Altoid tast just like T pins. Not must taste and quit sticky. Sig cement is worth a little sniff once in awhile. Helps the imagination
