A little herky jerky, but a really cool attempt to capture the planes viewpoint. I think Bob Reeves also has some pretty nice footage he has captured. It's harder than you may think, to get steady high quality footage from a model. This all kinda' reminds me of the old Estes "Camrock" days with the "round" BW negatives! Boy, have we progressed or what?!!
Kudos to anyone who attempts this task of minature aerial video!

Thanks Richard,

For those that weren't aware.. Several years ago the Tulsa Gang (Gluedobbers) did a whole series of flights on a couple different airplanes with the camera pointed various ways. One forward like the video, one pointed at a clunk tank so you could see what the fuel does during a maneuver and one pointed at the stab on a profile to see how much control was actually used for a square corner and if the fuselage was twisting. As far as I could determin this was the first recording of actual in-flight video from a CL airplane.

We put together a tape we sold with the proceeds going into the club treasury.. Problem was the VCR's started dying and the master tape was eventually eaten by the play back VCR so sadly tape production came to a screeching halt. We still have the camera and were planning to recreate all the flights except this time record digitally so we could put it on DVD's. Hasn't happened.. Just too many projects and too little time..

Bob-

I hope you do repeat this video. Having thought more on the subject, I at least, would like to view these things again. It would be interesting to see the differences in control deflection for insides vs. outsides too. You did a great job on the first one.

On the above video, it was interesting to see the positioning of consecutive maneuvers. Not bad at all.

Looks like that was taken in Evora, Portugal. Perhaps at one of Julio's contests.
