Title: Thank you
Post by: Mike Griffin on March 09, 2009, 10:15:57 AM
I want to thank all of you who helped make the 2009 Southeastern Model Show in Perry, GA this past weekend the biggest and the best we have ever had.  We had a large contingent of control line pilots there this year and our control line vendors who supply our hobby had great sales and were very pleased.  We had control line pilots from as far away as New York attending this year.  The stunt demo was performed in front of a grandstand packed with spectators and the “learn to fly control line” with an instructor was a blockbuster.  The youngest pilot we had in the circle with us was 5 years old and he actually did pretty well with the handle.  I think we have some future pilots coming along.

This was the 52nd show the club had put on and it just seems to get better every year.  If you were unable to attend this year, we hope you see you next year.

Thanks again

If you are asking about C/L Flyers in our GAMA club...There are three every
weekend control line flyers and a dozen more that have ready to fly airplanes
that will fly sometimes along with their usual r/c planes...this is in a club
with more than 100 on the roster out of which 30 or so are flying most
every weekend.  The full time C/L guys are Myself and Mike Griffin along
with Bob Dixon.
