Hi all! Linda Bob I called Quality Inn  in Texarkana and explained the contest  at Spring Lake Park. YES, they will do the rooms for the same as in the past @ $49. + tax.  This will be our 4th year staying there and always been satisfied. Doesn't hurt that there's a Pizza Inn next door!

She said to tell anyone who calls to say you are with the Bryan Norton group to get the price.  Said a name is easier for them to look up than a club name for reservations.  Told her as long as we got the $49. rate we were happy!

Pretty sure that I read on another post that it is on may 5 & 6 at Spring Lake park.  I immediately put it on my calender.  Last year I spent a few hours on Saturday of the contest just observing and enjoying.  I plan to do the same this year.  My wife wants to tag along.  I hope the folks there don't mind spectators.

Sorry that I didn't post this earlier...but this was sort of a last minute thing for me; anyway, the Texarkana Spring Classic will take place on May 5th and 6th. At Spring Lake Park, Texarkana, TX. P-40 on the 5th Beginner through Expert, two rounds, best flight posted. May the 6th, AMA PA 323, 324, 325, 326...BOM (appearance) rules for Intermediate through Expert, two rounds, best flight posted. $15.00 first event, $5.00 second event. AMA required. I-30 Summerhill exit, South to Mall Dr., East to the park. the Quality Inn has special prices. (see previous post)
