Test flight on newplane
« on: May 17, 2008, 07:38:20 PM »
Well did flight testing on new Arctic Fox and there were a few things needing fixing so am still in process of triming. Good news is the plane stays in horizontal grove both upright and inverted. Turns very well inside but needs trim for outside manevours. My engine is a little high for the tank pickup so need to lower the engine about 1/32". Lands an takes off good. Basicly is going to be good flyer after trimming. I will put this in the success column. #^ #^ #^ #^ #^ HB~>

Hi Leo,

Wish the maiden flight of my new classic plane went as well. I'll be repainting for a couple of days. Sigh...

Great to hear the "Artic Fox" is  working.  Must be a lot of practice to decide only 1/32 of an inch will correct the engine run.  DOC Holliday

Doc, I was right on with the 1/32" drop of the engine Now runs the same inverted. Maybe just maybe i knew what I was doing which has been suspect for many years. All the other changes I did also worked. It could actually be luck but my ego would like to claim I knew what I was doing. S?P HB~>
