Terry McDowell

I received word that Terry passed a couple days ago. He was a great guy, almost always at Brodaks' and flying OTS. Always willing to help. Super nice guy. Too bad.

Terry was a longtime member of the Golden Triad Model Masters here in the Winston-Salem/Greensboro/High Point area of North Carolina.  I got to know him when I retired here in 2020, which was about the time he stopped flying due to excessive dizziness at the handle and vertigo-like symptoms.  He enjoyed Old Time Stunt and was an excellent stunt coach.  Terry knew how to explain what I was doing wrong and why, but he was also quick to praise when I finally got it right.  But beyond that he also became a great friend.  We spent many hours talking about family and you could tell he was proud of his.  My heart goes out to his wife, Della, and their two kids, Tommy and Erin, and his grandchildren.  I already miss him.

Gentle winds and tight lines, my friend.
