Title: Ted Franchers Medic - Wingspan?
Post by: Chris Gilbert IRL-1638 on July 01, 2011, 06:17:56 AM
Folks,

I was recently reading Teds Doctor article (from PAMPA website), and followed that up with some reading here and on the other forum about the Doctor/Medic series

I have the plans for the Doctor, and since the Medic is a scaled down Doctor does anyone know what span the Medic is?
I know I can pick an arbitrary scale to suit my needs, but why try to second guess the master?

Chris after we get the plans finished and approved by Ted
we are planning to kit both these planes in the future

but to answer your question according to the plans

the Medic has a 51 3/8"span and a 501 sq" W.A.
the Dr. has a 55 1/2"span and a 586 sq" W.A.

Hi Walter,

Thanks for that. My calculator has been working overtime since I first read your reply.

The original SN article and subsequent posts have clarified quite a few observations I made of one of my profile models.

I'm hoping to begin construction shortly, but shortly in my case could turn out to be within the next 2 years. So many models, so little time, and too many distractions!
