What is every one currently using and/or what is available for purchase and from who/where ? Let's hear from: AL,

Prather's, absolutely nothing but Prather's! I bought a ton of it last time I got any, but don't remember where I got it! Google it and you should find it okay.

Will is RIGHT; Prathers (pink) is the best - unfortunately no longer available. That's one more reason why I switched to electrics.

You might still find some at your LHS...

A while back, I bought a spool of the clear line distributed by K&S (I think). I seems to work fine, except that it seems to develop a memory of the fitting that it is on, so when it is disconnected and reconnected, say for fueling, it doesn't reconnect tightly, and will come off during a run. I think I like the Brodak pink the best.

I use Prather medium pink hose for stunt. I have also used the fluorescent hose--brand unknown-- available in hobby shops. It was a few years ago, anyhow. It works fine. Once I went to a hobby shop with Richard Stubblefield. It had many colors of fluorescent hose. He gave a long narration of the properties of each color, which I presume he made up on the spot. It was pretty funny. For combat using bladder tanks, I use latex tubing I got from Doug Galbreath, http://www.the-printer.net/DookCat.html#fuel . For combat shutoff tubing, I use the yellow jacketed latex stuff from Jeffrey Rein or Phil Cartier. Jeffrey may have some red stuff that's even better.

That just gets gummy and melts when it gets on the muffler/head/pipe. Any sort of silicone is better than that.

I like the Prather tubing as well, and I have two entire spools of it. But the fluorescent type is pretty tough stuff, too. The only significant problem with any kind of silicone is the tendency to tear or get pinholes. The original white thin-wall type was pretty notorious for that, but I think just about any of the currently-available types are fine.

I agree -the flourescent stuff - made ( I think) for RC cars seems to be a heavier wall and pretty tough material. I think you can even get... bright orange.!!!

I found some packages of medium on eBay from Hong Kong, but no issues getting it.

I think happy hobby in west allis still has stock of the old prater stuff. Otherwise Greenfield New and Hobby has the RC car stuff that works OK too.

I got a big roll of sig stuff that I am using up.

While it may be the same material and is similar in color the wall thickness of the Brodak tubing is larger so the overall tubing diameter is larger. I have both in my hand.

I like the neoprene tubing. It's available from Tower...it's a DuBro product...I got a whole spool. There are some places where I like silcone tube better, but neoprene is good stuff, IMO. I should get a spool of the Brodak/Prather stuff. Maybe CLC would have it?

I think that's the best second choice after silicone. It will definitely melt of it gets on anything hot, however.

maybe you could try rerouting your fuel line so's it doesn't lay on the exhaust/muffler/head?!!!
