Title: Tank Size
Post by: Bruce Guertin on December 20, 2024, 08:04:09 AM
I'm building a pair of Twisters to be powered by Tower .40s. Is 4 ounces enough or should I build larger size tanks?

These should be OK depending on venturi sizes and props used and your location altitude. Just be prepared to go to 4.25 or 4.5 ounces if needed.

  MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Thanks. My thought was that a more modern engine would be more fuel efficient, and 4 oz might be enough. Enough to re-acquaint myself with the pattern. I just wasn't sure.

Mine has 4oz with an LA46 on 63' radius. Works great.

If you’re looking to a metal tank it would be prudent to go 4 1/2 ounces. If plastic use six ounces.  With those numbers you’ll never be wanting.
