new creation
« on: August 20, 2016, 12:51:52 PM »
Granted it started life as a ARF but has morphed into to something way different.Tom Morris bell crank and lead outs, carbon fiber push rod and ball links,LA 46 on the nose with blind nuts installed to hold it on.Filled in the openings in fuselage and added 1/2 inch to top reshaped rudder ,replaced boring landing gear with some polished lighter gear.I think it turned out pretty good! I have'nt  got though the first flights yet so no celebrating yet! Crap the way I fly sometimes it could become a pretty lawn dart!

B Norton.

WOW, plenty of work with that project, and nice work it is!  H^^

I love it when modelers get creative.

So, started out as a Cardinal?

How did you pull the checks off? Great job on that!

Good choice in colors for your lettering. Outline letters always look finished when there atr graphics behind them. Looks like Souvenir Bold, I've used it many times.

Good luck with your model.

Yes a blue and black ARF cardinal this is the third one I've built (lost all of them to bad lead outs)they where all called checkered cab(had checkered board on nose tail and wing)so it says checkered cab on the bottom of the wing if it flies like the others i'll be happy

Um, did you replace the leadouts on this one? Please say that you did!!!

You did a nice job on fixing the esthetics problems of this Cardinal. Please report back on how it flies, ok?  H^^ Steve

If it came as an ARF, it is still an ARF no matter what you do to it.   Don't ask me how I know as I didn't want to miss the corn beef and cabbage that evening. H^^
