Guys I report to the hospital in the morning at 5:30AM for my back surgery. I will be in the hospital for a few days and then will come home for rehab. I will be off here for a while so if I am unable to respond to posts for a while you will know why.
See you all when I return.

EZ does it, Mike! Healing will be slow, especially if you don't do as ordered...we'll all be missing your cheer and jocularity... n~ Steve

They say time heals....but don't let them convince you that U will be back to your old self in less that 30 days!!!! My back surgery was over 2 months ago...and now just beginning to do a few more chores around the yard etc beginning to lift light loads outta the trunk...
Even managed to ride and drive part way last Monday to our 3 day get a way to Cannon Beach...Even managed to fly my light wind kite for short periods of time..
Do take the pain meds...
Oxycone HCL 5mg. will not lead to addiction if used per prescrip'...so don't be afraid to use it to relieve the pain....I also had to take a muscle spasm relaxant at bedtime also...still do since sleep is very hard to come by at first.

Best of everything to you Mr. Mike. Now you can lie there and think a hundred ways to make a better design model than this year's coming NATs winners. Next year you can show them up big time and display that "Nothing to it attitude". LL~
I use to have a good friend that did several things to his CL Racers. Once I asked him, why he did a couple things. He said that the items really did nothing, other than simply drive the competition to spend more time watching him than they did tending to their own business. He won a lot. G.L. was very much a smart modeler, and probably still is. Now you can dream up a few items to rattle those big-shots, EH! ???
Best of all to you.

Hey Mike, we'll all be waiting for the confirmation that all is fine. And I know that you will be back on line as soon as you can sneak a chance! Good luck buddy!

Did you hear the surgery went bad?

I think Mike will let us know if there were problems and I know GOD is on or by his side.

Hi guys
The reason for the confusion Duke was that I had posted what happened and it was so incoherent because of the pain meds I was on, I deleted it. To answer the question yes they had me under anesthesia and had to stop the surgery because of a complication they did not know existed. When I woke up in recovery yesterday and was told the surgery had to be stopped because of something they found, I was beyond upset and worried because I did not know I had this problem. It has to do with prostate cancer that I had some years ago and I will find out tomorrow if it has come back or it is something less serious that stopped my surgery for the time being. The Neurosurgeon told Linda that he did not want to open up my back and have the risk of infection spreading to my spine. This is all I know right now right now but will let you all know the prognosis as soon as I can.
Your prayers and thoughts were felt and appreciated more than you know. Last night when I went to bed, I was in such a miserable place (state of mind) that I asked God to please just take it over that I needed some help with this and I was just going to put it all in his hands and do my part as a human being. Thats all I can do at this point.
Thanks again for the prayers...
Mike

So sorry to hear this. We will pray for you, your family and the doctors. A word of hope, when I finally gave my back problem to God it was wrapped up in two weeks. I tried to do it my way for over a year. HE cares even for the birds how much more for us.

Mike, I just updated the FCM prayer chain and they'll be praying specifically for your problem and for the doctors! God's best for you, my brother and as He told Joshua, "Be strong and courageous." (I know, easy to say, tough to do.)
-
Well Mike, I did not know about the setback until this AM. I know GOD is on your side and is trying to do something. I myself keep forgetting that GOD is there for us and we need to let him do it his way at times. I do pray the doctors will work it out for the best for you.

God Bless, Mike....I know it's disappointing that the surgery was stopped. I knew someone who was in a big hurry to go on a trip once, and had to turn back due to a problem. Then they heard about a huge pileup on the route they would've been on, had they not been turned back. Might have been providence all along. Keep the faith buddy and I will be praying for ya. ~john

I spent yesterday morning with the Urologist going through some tests to determine if I had any infection or other problems that may pose a danger from having my spinal fusion. He determined there was no infection or malignant growth anywhere and gave me a clean bill of health for the Neurosurgeon to reschedule (for the third time) my surgery. These unending delays are very unnerving and depressing but I am sure all will be fine.
Thanks again for all the kind thoughts and prayers and I will let you know when it is finally done.

Mike i will be praying for you. God is a God of the impossible. Who knows what he has planned? He may just heal you before you even have the surgery.
