Thanks for the info ,I will check them out.

Profile, or full fuselage?
The hardware requirements (and complexity) will differ accordingly.
The Yatsenko brothers manufacture composite/molded F2B models of take-apart construction, and I believe they also sell the hardware separately. See: http://discovery-aeromodels.com/en/demountable-systems.html

Here is the Morris take apart system.

Better than average skills are required to achieve proper alignment.

Terry,
See if you can find the construction article and plans for Paul Walker's original Impact. Paul used a fairly simple approach with the wing bolting into the fuse, the stab/elevator bolting in and the rudder bolting down. I used this on a Magnum and it works very well, just align things as you go and bolt stuff together before you glue it in place. This keeps things align and it reliably goes back in place and holds alignment when you reassemble.

Hi Terry,
There are a few threads on take apart systems. One of them is here http://stunthanger.com/smf/open-forum/take-apart-plane/
I build my own system with very basic tools. I do have a lathe though but I cut with a hack saw and then file some of the parts by hand, so it can be done. Here are some pics to look at. I drew it out on a 3-D graphics system and that looks neater than my own parts so maybe you can get the idea. I have included some photo's as well. Just ask if you need any more help.

Here are some more pics. The wire in the bellcrank arms is 1.5 mm galvanised household wire. I use the Sullivan type squeeze connectors on the lead-out cable.
