In the process of building a suitcase sized take apart. My designs are a bit different. Particularly interested in leadout attachment to bellcrank. Anybody have pictures of bellcrank/leadout installations of planes where the wing is breaks down into two pieces such as Yatsenko planes? There is probably a thread somewhere on this forum with details but I can't seem to find it.

I have no experience with this and honestly I am replying almost as much to subscribe as anything BUT if I remember correctly basically you use something similar to line clips to connect to the bellcrank.
Looking forward to seeing other replies.

One of the guys on the Brotherhood of the Ringmasters is from France and came to Texas this year with a take apart. Check www.brotherhoodofthering.info.

I think they use some kind of spool setup on the leadout connection at the bellcrank. Might wanna ask the Combat guys too.

On my electric Cobra E, I just made a small loop of lead out wire ( 1 3/4") off the bellcrank, and connect clips to them with the leadout wire in the wing.

Hello Phil,
Here you have a couple of shots from Serge Delabarde's "Yak 55" bellcrank/leadout instalation.
Hope this helps.
Claudio.

One more, same plane.

I used to fly a little combat. Sorta still do!

Thanks Claudio,
This is exactly the kind of detail I am looking for.
As a musically related side note for Christmas you might want to check out Mindy Abair's song "I can't wait for Christmas". It's just too cool! You can listen to it on this web site. http://listen.grooveshark.com/

Geez...... Phil, ya think? I do believe Wayne was yankin' your chain, as you probably know.
really glad that you members of the JCT have committed to giving free Express mail International shipping to all orders until Christmas........

Doh! Actually, I did forget until you reminded me here that Phil flew Combat too. I know that Jim Ehlen in our club has a slick way on his combat planes for this, I just don't recall how it's setup.

Phillip, it appears that the JCT is not doing enough promotion. We can't keep hiding our light under a bushel. Fortunately, Dr. Briggs has a new printing press, so we can have posters all over Muncie next summer.

Has Phil joined the electric revolution? I noticed an odd power plant at Golden State and he sold a super engine set up.

Claudio How do you keep the lead outs from falling in to the wings when removed?

Hi Larry,
The model is not mine, so I don't know, but, my guess is, as the leadouts must have a loop in the end, the owner should insert some sort of "lock" in them to prevent it.
