T-6 update
« on: December 26, 2014, 02:42:05 AM »
She's all in one piece!  First weigh-in sets it at 21 oz,  32oz with the motor in.  I have a few tricks up my sleeve that MIGHT get it in under 40 oz, but will still be killer in the low 40oz range.

Is this the Don Hutchinson T-6?
I may be wrong but I doubt it.
I wouldn't take her to a dog fight even if she had a chance to win.

Sean,
That's a good weight!  Glad to see it coming together.

Is that a Legacy 40 or a full size Legacy in the background?

Perry-yes it is!  A trickier build then anything else I've done, but it's great fun.

Christ- that is Ken Nash's Legacy 40. Dad picked it up from Ken, and I borrowed it from dad for the 2013 season.  It's waiting for a trip back to St Louis.

I thought it looked familiar.  I cut the foam wings and made the aluminum LG for him.  Did you like the way it flew?

WOW you've been busy! Looks great Sean, decided on a paint scheme yet? A nice USAF or NAVY scheme would be just the ticket. y1

In a perfect world, I'd add LED strobes and lights like they use in their night routine. The smoke lit up looks SO cool. Alas...not a perfect world...

Looking mighty fine. I will be real anxious to see how it flies. I have almost no feedback from anyone other than Joe on the warbirds. I do know the SBD and the T-6 both fly really well. Hope yours does likewise.
