Title: T-6 flies

Took it with me to Houston but wind was not conducive for test flying. Did make use of the facilities and pull test it.

Got a decent break in the weather here at fort hood so we went for it. Got one flight in, as we had Clara in the car and one can only expect so much patience from a 1 year old girl.

Some trimming will be required but nothing major. The ST 51 ran great. Will take some playing with props to tame it. 11x5 zinger pro, turning 8700RPM on take off on 67' lines produced 4.7 lap times. No lack of power here!

Final weight: 45oz

What a great ship! Beautiful job by Sgt McEntee. I'm glad it flies, hopefully as well as it looks. But, everyone knows it will fly extremely well, Don Hutch designed it.

This is a seriously fine looking airplane.  I hope it trims out and works well for you!  It may have inspired me to build the SBD kit that I've had for several years!  I have an Enya 50SS just waiting for it!

Sean...is there ground clearance for a G.51 sized prop on that there T-6? I'd suggest a 12 x 5.5 RSM, 12x5 or 12.25 x 3.75 APC, or a 12.5 x 5 Thunder Tiger Cyclone. Otherwise, look at 3-bladers...maybe one from BC Buds Prop Factory. Great looking plane!!! And thank you for your service.  y1 Ciao, Steve

Hey Steve,

       On the contrary, I might be looking to less prop. It's not a big model. My concept, like any other modelis to get to a point where the model flies at an acceptable speed while keeping the motor running at a speed which is comfortable for it. The margin of available power vs weight is a lot wider than most normal stunters. One thing I did think of was taking the APC you mentioned and chopping it down by 2". I got plenty of props to play with and will be doing allot of test flying but I don't see this thing needing more than 11" prop
