Some time ago I thought I saw a posted pic of a T-38 stunter. I don't remember if it was a new design or a classic. Anyone know about any such design? ???
-
I knew Wynn Robins did one awhile back.
Search brought this up.

Profile or full fuse?

Didn't Dave Rees (sp) do one in the early 80?
-
yep - thats my one alright
used the Dave Rees plan for the fuse shape - Vector airfoil and moments - the lower stab made it turn better then a standard vector (I have had 6 of them) it was one of the nicest planes to fly that I have built......I ended up giving it away when I moved - not sure what happened to it after that...
I'm planning on doing another one soon - electric (of course) with trike retracts - should look awesome in the air.

Dave Rees did the T-38. I think it was one of he better looking designs, though all of his were just outstanding. I have tried to post scans of the plans and a page from his April 1974 Flying Models article but I have not learned how to compress these things for the web sites with this new computer program I installed after my lst computer crash. His design had a foam wing, a polywog airfoil, and an OS 35S. Great detail. Really a good looking airplane. His article has a lot of information and good hints on building, materials, construction, etc. It is one of those that should be in a serious builder's archives.
When Dave decided to build scale FF, it was our loss and a tremedous gain for the scale FF crowd.

Regretably Dave Rees passed away recently. The current edition of Flying Models carried the sad news in the editors pages.

I just turfed my copy of flying models with the T-38 in it .......yesterday in fact.....I should have scanned it first HB~> HB~> HB~>
here's the plan anyways

YES! That's the plane. Thanks all.
Wynn, nice model! Do you have a copy of the full size plan? Or do you know who sells them? Looks like the original has a foam wing.

Chris Sterner did a nice profile one a while back too. I think it was built with internal pushrods too. Maybe he'll chime in here...

It's the full fuse version I'm interested in. The plan Wynn posted is exactly it.

I tried to e-mail it to you but it bounced - do you have a different address I can try?

Thanks Wynn. I seem to be having a problem with that. Don't know why. Check your PM's
