Hi, Steve - GREAT PHOTO!

Reminds me of my CL flying days when I lived in Camillus.
Sadly, I was the only one  :-[
I went to West Genesee High School with a guy named Walter Throne.
He had a hobby shop near Westvale.
Remember him?

Bob Z.

Hi Bob,

I did know Walt Throne who owned Walt's Hobby Shop now Walt's Hobby Town presently owned by his son Bruce. Walt had retired and moved to Florida some years back, he passed away about one year ago. Most of the control line contingent in the CNY area are RC guys from the Rochester - Canandaigua clubs. Many dabble equally with both CL and RC but have been leaning stronger toward CL the past few years.

You may recall Warren Wagner from Syracuse who flew CL and was a member of the Syracuse Thunderbirds Aero Radio Society - STARS before moving to Florida several years back. Not sure when you left but I believe he lived in Syracuse from the 70s you may have crossed paths. I have to believe many of the old timers in the STARS club were flying control line around the time you lived here, most of them started with CL. I'm sure you know some. The only two active CL pilots in Syracuse are me and Mike Oneill. I have a handful of grandkids currently going to the West Genesee school system.

Steve
