Title: SV - 100 wood work is done
Post by: RC Storick on February 22, 2008, 09:31:46 PM
Tomorrow night I will start finishing my new plane. This is all you get to see until the NATS. This year I don't want to let the cat out of the bag. See Randy Smiths influence here?

Specs are Geo/Bolt 62 inch WS,18 Tail,10 1/4 nose, Projected weight 60 or less, PA .75 #100 New Smith pipe 8oz clunk tank.
Wing is a constant core sheeted leading edge as described by Bob Hunt. Tom Morris controls, Brett Buck designed Bell Crank.

Official name is SV-100 Horizon

I kind of expected the SV meant Smith Vehicle, but apparently it's "Storick Vehicle"! Where's the canopy? You know, you're not far enough from North (By God) Carolina to be safe from those Rocky Mountain Oysters or whoever it is that Bill Little is always warning folks about.

That reminds me of the joke about the difference between Beer Nuts and Deer Nuts.  Beer Nuts are $1.99, but Deer Nuts are still under a buck.  :o  Steve

Oh Ya!!
I do like the blend of Mr. Smiths influences and that great look of the Viper. Can you post a pic. of the cowl area?

What color combo have you come up with?    Look forward to more info!! y1

Sort of looks like an early Jimmy Casale Spectrum to me, but what do I know?

Yes, a *Storick Vehicle* versus a *Stunt Vector*.

BTW, Steve, The Red Neck Mountain Mafia  does exist.  You have seen Deliverance, except in real life the RNMM doesn't lose, and are not as stupid.
;D  If you have ever really lived in the mountains of NC, VA, and GA, you would have come into contact in some way............

I agree with Sparky,  if it aint worth an extra 20 points, why bother.  Will see it at the NATS if nothing happens between then and now.  It looks great.  DOC Holliday

I was very sorry to hear your mother passed away.  My condolences.

I can sure see why you would want to go to the nats.  I would love to take my dad to the nats!

Oh yeah,  The plane looks great!
