Are you talking about a flight line tool box?   http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXL417&P=0

The most popular at our field is a Stanley stackable.   The top is for flight lines tools and props.  The bottom holds fuel etc.   If you have some what of a walk to the field the handle and wheels are great.

Depending on what he really wants it for that one is too pricy.   My son and daughter-in-law got me the Stanley one.  It has all or most of my racing and carrier stuff in it.  As far as a pit box, I made my own copying the Tower Hobbies version.
