Survey regarding potential new kit

A couple of years ago RSM Distribution brought out our version of the Tutor profile. The response to this model was quite good and we expanded it to include a Take Apart version. Ever since the introduction of the Tutor we have been receiving inquiries from people asking if we could also offer the Tutor Two.

The Tutor Two was a version of the original Tutor scaled up 20%. This made the wing span increase from the original 45" to 55". It was also only offered as an ARF for R/C.

If RSM Distribution was to offer our version of the Tutor Two it would be 100% laser cut using contest balsa. We would also deliver the kit so that it could be built for either glow or electric power.

What I am inquiring is what interest, if any, is there in the Tutor Two?

I built several of Eric's original Tutor kits, one for myself and some for others.  It was easy to build and the quality was impeccable. I also had two of the Tutor ll (2) ARFs when they were available from Top Flight and they flew beautifully with a ST .51.

I will certainly take a kit if you decide to produce it.  I will use the Back Tiger electric power system with it as I think this plane would fly great as an electric.

Is this the same size a the TopFlite ARF Tutor II  ?     If so I would be interested in a kit..

ALLAN I took that off of a website that was detailing the Tutor ll ARF so. Am assuming those are the correct numbers but maybe Eric can confirm it.

I have a Tutor II ARF and it is a very good flyer with an ST .51.   I likely fly it more than any other plane on the wall.

There seems to be sufficient interest so I will go ahead with the project.

To date I have the new drawing about 80% completed. As soon as that is complete I will put together the laser cut files and start to run the kits. As is the standard lately the new Tutor Two can be powered by either glow or electric with both mounting systems included in the kit. Just choose the one you wish and you are good to go. Wing construction will be my "MIT Wing" design so it will be easy to construct with leading and trailing edges slotted and notched to accept the ribs in perfect alignment. Laminated fuselage for stiffness to eliminate twisting under flight loads. Laser cut contest balsa and birch plywood. Complete hardware package including a 4" carbon fiber bell crank.

I intend to have everything ready for shipping by May 5th.
