Tomorrow is a practice session. I decided today to do my maintenance on my SV100. This plane has been flying very well. I turned it over and took off the cowl. I was just going to touch up some paint work. Got to looking close and I noticed my tank and a wear mark in the bottom. It is close inside there but I did not remember it that close. So I took out the pipe and engine. What had happened on the last flight in Muncie was the tank had become loose and slid down onto the header coupler and almost wore a hole through the plastic.
Fortunately I had bought a new one when I was in Muncie last week. So I changed tanks and cleaned out the engine bay, a new filter was added and everything checked.
Hopefully the engine run will be the same tomorrow as it was last week, If not I don't have a lot of tinkering time left before the team trials.
