I would start with a typical tuned pipe mount that fits,, and build a light structure of the proper height. That should be all you need. The muffler won't get too hot if you have some air flowing through the area.
    Type at you later,

This is what I came up with for a PA .75 with a Kaz CF Muffler in a Dreadnought.  The muffler rests on the plywood platform and I use a high temperature o-ring captured by the 1/16 inch music wire hooks which is sandwiched between the plywood with epoxy.  Not shown in this photo, I also coated the plywood and bottom of the fuel tank with a heat proof ceramic coating just to ensure I wouldn't melt the tank but I'm pretty sure CF dissipates heat quite well.  In another plane with a Stalker .61 with a metal tank and a 1/16 inch plywood "tank floor" I made a similar 1/16 inch music wire hook sandwiched between plywood and epoxied vertically to the floor with a round seating surface for the muffler and glued a piece of split fuel tubing to the support for a cushion.  I used a spring that I had to secure it, but later went to the high temp o-rings.  Sorry no pics of this set up with cowl removed.  Hope this helps.
