I'm fairly sure that the RSM clones have some sort of SAE thread, and wouldn't screw into a genie ST spraybar. I am a big fan of Randy Smith's NV Assemblies, but again, I'm pretty sure the NV is not going to fit ST spraybars. They will, however, bolt in where a ST spraybar did. y1 Steve

Thanks guys, I really appreciate it and likely would not thought of RSM. I'm retro fitting so no worries about the real deal. Steve knows I rarely do loops anymore but do like to go fast in a straight line. Getting parts for old ideas is getting more and more difficult.

Enya 50-60 nva from shutterman $21 excellent quality nylon like Jett does not leak fast delivery

I use RSM no problems

Jim Lee has them and I've had no issue with any I've bought from him.

I was just doing some surfing around and found ST NVAs at a website called
ActivePowersports.com. I've never heard of this site, but these appear to be
actual ST NVAs, and at only $8.99 might be worth a try.

I had bought one of Shttermans ST nva's when I received it it looked great but would not shut the fuel flow down enough to keep from flooding the engine. Shipped it back received a second one but the threads were messed up told him to just refund my money which he did no problem but then blocked me from buying anything from him on the bay. Too bad everything else I had bought from him was top notch. Maybe just a bad batch.

Who is shutterman?
Ebay seller.

I had this same problem with an RSM nva that I bought from SSW. It wouldn't bring my Magnum XL .25 to peak. After thinking about this a bit, I switched it over into an OS .46LA, where it worked just fine. Increased fuel consumption did the trick. ;D Steve

There are three sizes of spray bars. I think this one is the smaller one but not sure. http://www.activepowersports.com/supertigre-22300825-needle-valve-assembly-g34-c-l-22300825/. Also over the years ST has changed the taper of the needle. The smaller bodies used a steeper taper. Mixing them all up can cause problems as described above.
A few times I got DS mixed in with the ST and that caused all bad problems.

The threads on the ST needle valve assemblies manufactured for RSM are not SAE they are the proper metric sizes that have been used for years on the original ST needle valves.
In the very rare case where the needle will not shut off the fuel completely it is due to the needle taper not contacting the sides of the spray bar hole. There is only one needle and it works in all three spray bars. Like all manufactured items they are made to a +- tolerance. Just pull it from the spray bar and sand off a bit of the sharp end of the needle. That will solve the problem.

Those are the 15 size ones, they used that one thru the top of the venturie on the G51 CL
Has anyone actually got any ST motors or NVAs from this group?
They show stuff in stock that has not been made in many years

NONE of them... unless you either drill the venturie in the FOX case larger, as many have done, or file the sides of the Needle body flat so it does not restrict the Fox venturi , if you do that use the 153 ST NVA.
Or use the OS LA NVA with a spacer on both ends

I bought severaL items from them, they took the money said the items would be sent, then refunded my money on ST and OS NVAs plus 2 engines and did not ship anything at all, so not good

Randy, I have a very long ST NVA that I believe was used through a carb for a 60 size tiger. It's longer than the other 3 ST NVA's. Have you ever seen one and do you have them?
MM
in the G21 and ST 51 56 60 CL NVAs, they made 3 sizes part numbers end in 153 , 155, 161 , the 161 is the long one that fits the ST60
The plain bearing 29 35 takes the short 153
the 29 - 46 G21 takes the 155
The long one is the one for the ST 60 single piece case engine ,and the large case 51 and 56
In needles I have seen 3 lengths, but the only very long needle is a Harry Higley long ST needle
there are smaller NVAs for the 23 19 15 ST engines
also the New G51 NVAs are the same size as the small ones (153) from years ago i think that number is 4290
I have not seen but 1 any longer, and it was not in an engine, so I do not know what it would fit?? maybe the G60 or 71

I needed long needle valves for my two Bearcats. I cut off the end and soldered a piece if tubing between the two pieces. I have done that for years. The needles solder easily.
-
MM;
The taper on the needle is 7/8" long. In addition, the threads on the needle are long enough to allow you to screw the needle in much further. Once the diameter of the tapered part of the needle matches the diameter of the small spigot hole inside the spray bar it will shut off.
Theory is fine but reality is perfect every time! Give it a try then check it out by trying to blow through the spray bar. You will find that this will allow you to shut off the flow with no problem.

For what it's worth I still have a package of Harry Higley ST needle valves. Two to the package. I used these a lot years ago. They are about 4 inches long.

If your in Aus. or with the current exchange rate , this guy ( Steve Rothwell ) does CNC Super Tigre type Nylon Gland NVAs ,
but He's into smelly diesels , not glows . So youd be wise to specify DIMENSIONS to hole from side & across intake ,
which shold be 'a' & '2a' we presumes .
20 Bucks Aus. & postage , if ive not got it wrong . Hald a dozen stock variations / types . Smaller ones might be 1/8 dia maybe.
