A very recent (like the day before yesterday ;D) acquisition off the German fleabay site for a ridiculously low price.  The plane is designed around the Super Tigre .46, 57 inch span. I probably won't get around to building it for a while or at least until I'm able to source the goodies it requires (motor, horns, tank, wheels, handle/lines and a decent bell-crank) - a bit of a problem since the only source seems to be Brodak, with shipping to Germany horrendously expensive (not to mention the rather high cost of the goodies in question).  I'm thinking of using an OS LA-46, if I can find one that is already set up for CL (not sure if the rc version timing is the same).

The kit was probably made by Axel Jungherz in Germany - Very nice wood and many CNC(?) pre-formed parts including adjustable alu lead-out guide and wires.  The bell-crank included is of the old "PERFECT" style (3") which will get replaced.  I'm probably way in over my head with this, since my last ukie flying was back around 1976 with a green box NOBLER, and now have balance issues and a bum leg,...buuut  VD~ gottadoit!

There IS a decent CL crowd over here, but NADA in my area - I have the same issue with my FF activity.  The rc club I belong to tolerates my FF flying and the group is always curious when I bring out my box, so it will be really interesting when I show up with a ukie stunter (hopefully this year :-\).

Absolutely use a 4" bellcrank and longer control horns. SLOW the controls and use a wider handle spacing to improve precision control inputs. Too quick controls and narrow handle spacing is NOT a good compromise. Trim, trim and TRIM!

As much as I like my OS .46LA, I'm not sure it would be enough thrust FOR YOU. More experienced fliers can get by with less and be happy with it. Lower skilled fliers (like me) tend to prefer more engine. I might suggest a Super Tigre G.51 but I don't know the wing area of your model in square inches.  H^^ Steve
