Super Pow Wow Which Engine to use ???
« on: April 12, 2006, 11:04:13 AM »
I am in the process of builing Super Pow Wow, I am at the point of deciding which engine to use I have either an LA 40 or Magnum Pro 45, the Magnum being 1.5 oz heavier than the LA. Not sure if weight would be a problem, so any thoughts would be appreciated

The Super Pow Wow has an upright engine set up doesn't it?

It's easier to adjust nose weight than tail weight. Either engine would do the job.

Talking about Pow Wow...  I have a Brodak Accentor on the way.  It was a great deal from EvilBay.  Anyway i was wonder what changes do I need to make so that is is a Classic Legal Pow Wow?  Someone told me that the Accentor is a direct copy of the Pow Wow.  Still would like to be sure.

Thanks

Jay

From what I've read, the Brodak kit "Accentor" is stretched in TMA and maybe NMA. I think I'd buy a good set of Pow Wow plans and compare the two plans before I made any decisions.

On the other hand, legally, you can call it a "Tucker Special" if you have the cajones, and that's all it takes to make it 'legal'. There is no clause in the rules that allows DQ for modifications. You may take a hit on the fidelity points, if they are used in your area, or appearance points, if they are not. The hit cannot be real serious. Enjoy it, and have fun.

I'd vote for the LA. You won't need more power or weight.   y1 Steve

A Pow Wow will be fine with a LA40.  How big is the "Super" Pow Wow?  That's one I cannot remember.  :o
