To answer your question, Motorman flew the best pattern he's ever flown with the best stunt ship he's ever built. I was really happy with the flight that I put out my best effort. Coming off the field the judges were laughing at me and said my plane flew like it had a broken wing. What am I supposed to think about that?
That you need to go back, build better, trim better, learn to set up engines better, and/or practice more, so the next time you will fly better, and it won't be like that.
After about 40 years of this event, I am pretty sure you are jumping to conclusions, and taking offense at something you probably imagined, but even if your interpretation of events is 100% correct, the solution is the same. Stunt is a performance, you put yourself out there to be judged, ask people to stand in the sun and do it all afternoon, and then give their opinion.
Even if it is less than charitable, take it, move on, and make it harder for them to do it the next time.
Stunt is an extremely difficult event and no one ever masters it. There will be many days like this in the future. If you don't learn to cope with it, you will have a pretty rough go. What you don't want to do is fall into "all those guys are against me" attitude because that is a self-defeating loop.
