Allen,
The weather was outstanding as it has been in the past.  Both Michael and I had a great time.  Thank you for putting this event together.

Can anybody fly in Masters class, or do you need to do something special?

Yes you do....I found out the hard way...I showed up, and was informed that since I had won this contest in the past and/or placed Top 20 at the Nats within the last decade.....I was now in Masters Class...real simple. H^^ I like it, even though I didnt place! Lots of local experts participated with a real stake in the game that is pretty well dominated. I cant say what happened in the last seven years or so here....but its all the same names it was 10 years ago at the top so we might as well be flying just against each other.

Thanks for the great pics, looks like everyone had a great time. It also looks like Mike Paris cleaned up again, CONGRATS Mike!

How many of you are going to the Treetown contest next weekend?

Wayne,
Both Michael and I will be at the Treetown contest this upcoming weekend.  Mike and Dennis promised me a new tee-shirt as well.  One with a bullseye on the back!!!  I would like to note that Michael did well in the Beginner class, but he was flying left handed as his right wrist is broken.  Because of this and since he only had a week or so of practice he stepped back a class.  I thought he did a great job and certainly did much better than I could have flying with my left hand.

Hope to see you there.

John

I was one of the judges for beginner and Michael provided the best flying entertainment I've seen for many a year!  What a delight to watch that youngster bang a ship through the beginner pattern with his left hand, knowing he is right handed!  Mark Messner and I chuckled all the way through both of his flights!

Seems the weather is better this time of year than during the Nats.

A big thanks to Allen and Janet and all the other folks who made it happen.  It was a blast.  I also owe a big thank you to FCM and Randy Smith for providing the Aero Tiger 36 engine as a door prize that I won.

Thanks Again

 John, and Mike,

That's pretty darn impressive Mike! I don't know if I could do a loop with my left hand without biting the dust!

I'm making my first trip to Treetown next weekend. This trip is my summer "vacation". I'm making a long weekend out of it and plan to arrive in Sugar Grove on Friday afternoon. I did some checking and hope to do some fun flying at the contest site on Saturday. I'm really anxious to get there and see everyone, and also meet some that I haven't before. See ya there! H^^

So you are allowed to fly in Masters' class if you place in the top 20 of the Naturals within 10 years?  Cool.  I'll have to get to FCM before the time expires.

RIGHT HOWARD, TIME IS SLIPING AWAY. LL~ LL~

THAT INFORMATION IS NOT TOTALY CORRECT. IF YOU HAVE PLACED IN THE TOP 20 AT THE NATS, PERIOD, EVER, JUST ONCE, MORE THAN ONCE, YOU GET TO FLY IN THE "MASTERS".

In the picture labeled FCM 2010 Sun 019.jpg, who is pictured with the gold colored Cardinal with the black stripes on the wings??  I'm starting a Cardinal Evolution build and was wondering if that was the same Cardinal or not??  I'd like to get in touch with the builder/flyer of this plane to hopefully exchange some information.

Thanks,

P.S.  Looks like it was a real good time.  Hopefully I can make it to this event some year.

Hi All,...

Does anyone have contact information for Bruce Renolds??  I tried the PAMPA Membership List but his name wasn't listed.  I found a William Reynolds, but no Bruce.

Thanks,
