Having a good SUN -day flying is Howard and Mike at Alameda Ca. the wind was 0-5 mph and the Sun was bright, Howard flew his Pathfinder power with OS LA 46 and Mike flew a Top Flite Score with Super Tigre. AP^

Twas a nice sunny day in Philly also, temps were comfortable and we just had to do it knowing it might not be that good again till spring.

Great day for flying in Tulsa today also. Temps near 70. Wind was a little gusty at first, but died down around 2:00. Good turnout for winter.

Miami weather wasn't too bad. Tried to fly my PAW 29DS powered Barnstormer. 4 flights, 3 crashes. That thing is tougher than it looks.

Six of us flew all day in St.Louis. Highs around 60, not too bad for December.

Right you are Glen, a Midwest Airacobra. I believe it has an LA40 on it. Proud owner-pilot is Randy Bush, best known locally as a racing pilot. Randy flies strunt at racing velocities.

Got in a little flying in extreme SW Missouri on Friday. On my first flight I tried flying monoline, unfortunately it was a two line control system until the down line broke. A new but not pleasant experience for me. Saturday was pretty windy and today was drizzly. The first day of spring is just a little over 3 months away.

Thanks for the pics! In the first pair, I see a red P-63 done up as #28 the old "Tipsy Miss" Reno racer. I would REALLY like to see some more photos of that model somehow if possible. That is a subject I've been contemplating building for very a long time. Who is the owner of that model?

On another post I mentioned I was out last Saturday(16th) flying the Shameless and a Skyray. Also breaking in some engines. John Bender flies gliders on Saturday so I didn't look for him. I think Howard Terrell was either out of town or catching up on home work. The grandaughters didn't want to go flying. They thought it was too windy. I even got the Aerostar twidly stick plane up for a couple of flights. Temps in upper 60's. Later, DOC Holliday

The owner of the Airacobra as noted above is Randy Bush, who lives in or near Alameda California (San Francisco area). Don't have a phone for him but I may have his email. If you can hold out till next weekend we can get all the photos you want. This model flies stunt very well, by the way...when Randy can be coaxed into flying lap times above 3.5 secs. Randy is not listed in the Pampa directory. I will try to dig out his email and put him in touch with you.

It was a beautiful, sunny 70 degree day in middle Tennessee yesterday. I watched the struggling Tennessee Titans until half-time and then went to the deserted soccer field to fly. Everybody was home watching the game I guess. Can't be much of this good weather left here.

Heck, I want to hear about the Fokker D-17. Are both engines used in flight? If so, how is the rear tank plumbed?

It’s a Fokker 23, A 25 up front and a 15 in the rear The rear tank faces toward the front of the plane and works fine with the pusher prop.

That's just too kewl. I've been playing around with such a twin configuration for at least 3 years. Never got beyond the plans stage, as I had concerns about the rear tank.

The rear tank has ben trouble free I don’t know if it would two four break or not . I run the engine two stroke but it runs the same from start to finish. make sure the elevator has tight controls or you will get a flutter with the prop blast so close. make sure the battery is well connected or it will be sucked right through the prop.
