Unfortunatley that white stuff does signal the start of the end of flying season. I did get 3 flights in yesterday on my F94-C Starfire, but pretty soon it'll be time to put the engines away after oiling them all up. A sad day it will be.

My building season is pretty much, well, all the time. I'm always building something.

My basement shop is still in a shambles cause of some remodeling. So the thought of starting any planes is still just a dream.

I woke up this morning to about an inch of snow here in Kalamazoo, Michigan %^ I am not ready for this! I still need to mow both flying sites once more before putting the snow blower on the tractor. Bushes to trim in the yard, and a tree house to finish for the daughter. '' '' ''

So it is snowing.  That shouldn't stop the flying.  The only month John and I didn't get out to fly one month was that I was out of town that month and when I was in town it was too windy.  We flew one year with ice on the ground for a take off strip.  Just need to layer the clothes.   DOC Holliday

It is actually building season for me here in Tucson.  I build in the garage (divorce is expensive) and all summer the temps are over 100 in there.  Cool weather is here - mid 80's - so it is time to get the new OTS airplane ready for VSC.  Since I don't fly well, I think I'll build a good excuse.  I have an Umland kit for the deBolt Sportwing.  I bet not even Bart Klapinski can fly a nice pattern with it.  With a Veco 19 for power, it should be fast anyway.

I'll put my money on Bart, especially if you let him have a couple of trim flights with it.   DOC Holliday

Building season never totally stops for me, but it certainly "ramps up" a lot through the winter! I'm currently gearing up for the upcoming "season" myself. y1

It's the only thing Minnesota winter is good for in my opinion, I need to hit the lotto and move to Tuscon. ;D
