Need a Fox 2" bellcrank but can't get your hands on one? A suitable replacement can be whittled out of a Brodak BB-379 bellcrank instead. Put the leadout holes 2" apart, and put the pushrod hole 3/8" from the center of the pivot. Lay it out directly on the bellcrank, or make a pattern first if you plan to do more than one.

Where's the "like" button?

you could put buttons on the bellcrank if you like. :D

Well played Mr Bischoff.....
Cool info, thanks. I've recently been interested in making a few button bellcranks and a few monoline connectors while I'm playing with new machine shop tools.

This is good info especially since I used my last Veco 2" bellcrank on the last Sport Goodyear I made. CLP**

Has anybody considered retaining the self-centering feature of the Brodak bellcrank when making the 2"?

I personally don't care for the "feel" of it. If "bellcrank" neutral isn't lined up with handle neutral and elevator neutral, the plane can feel unstable and won't groove properly. I learned this long ago with carrier planes and their self centering 3 line bellcranks. Conversely, if everything is in harmony, I suppose it could actually impart a more stable feel. If I were to try it, I think I'd leave enough extra material on the bellcrank to revert to the "straight across" leadout position if I didn't like it.
