Any suggestions for the line length for primary force with 40 on it

   I built mine as per instructions and powered originally with an LA.25. Line length was what it called for in the instructions along with line spacing. Model flew "right off the board" like that. I upgraded to an OS.32F and when I got the engine "happy" in test flights, I think I went a foot and a half or two feet longer than the instructions. I measure line length  from the handle to the center line of the fuselage, and I think Mike Pratt called it out that way in the instructions also. I would start out two feet longer than the instructions. You can always shorten the lines if necessary. They haven't as yet invented a line stretcher. It helps A LOT to have an idea of what lap time you are comfortable at and have that in mind during the trimming process. That will be factored in to what speed the airplane will need to fly and perform well at.
    There really is no magic line length or lap time/speed. You have to determine that by what you see and feel.

With a 40 I'd go for 65' handle to thrust line.

Mine does good on 62'x.015"  e2e with a Magnum36XLS.   I would start off with 60' and go up if you think it can handle more.

This sounds more reasonable, I fly my 62 powered stunt ship on 62's or 63's depending on conditions.

Some Impacts should be flown on lines about 2 feet shorter than the ones being used recently.

Primary Force is on small light side (can be) of 40 power. Which can be great combo. Depending on engine tune, head gaskets, venturi size, prop, fuel, and so forth, optimum line length will vary. Run engine where it's happy. If you're lap times are faster than you like, reduce venturi size or lengthen lines. I'd try 60' .015s, eyelit to eyelit, for a start.
