I'm absent to do airplane repairs and to attend a nephew's HS graduation.  Mr. Rutherford will assume my judging duties.

It was a fun time. I still stink, but the odor wasn't as bad. And it was fun in spite of interesting air.

It was a great weekend, and Shultzie finally got to see the Avenger , new edition, up close and personal,, it was pretty special for me,, well right up until that dang canadian came from behind and got me in Advanced,,
congrats Keith!!!!
I guess I could confess that my landing ( hey they scored it so that means it WAS a landing) actually cost me my shot,, sigh,,
For years the rat race had me going around in circles, Now I do it for fun!

Couple more pics from the Stunt-A-Thon on Sunday. Notice the restaurant in the background behind Mark and Shultzie. It's right on the pits next to the circle. Nice crowds all day.

It was a nice bunch of fliers too. There's a new crowd coming along too, as I think there were 5 or 6 in beginner and an equal number in intermediate. Richard Entwhistle won intermediate, and I didn't get who was the top beginner. Great show even though they made us fly in the south 40 on a 10 foot runway and flying over and under a DC-3 wingtip.   %^@  LL~

One of the neat things about this airport is the number of interesting light planes in and out during the day. No less than four Globe Swifts, a Colonial Skimmer and a Fairchild 24, among others.

Thanks to the Skyraiders for putting on a great meet.

Great pictures and how could anyone pick one plane over the other.  Randy and Mark are perfectionists.  Now if you could only get Randy not to smile so much. LL~ LL~ LL~Also glad to see Mike's hand is not keeping him down. D>K I like the shot of the man with words standing with Mark. H^^

Unfortunately my little Fugi Camera battery seems to becoming weaker and weaker...(humm? Sorta' like my knees, fingers, blurry eyeballs and brain)
here are a few of the ones that were less blurry...

First shots.. Haverly beautiful new light weight Shrike
Detail of "LEFTY'S" purty pipe arrangement

Again Haverly's skinny legs and Pete Peterson (beholdin and holdin;)
Pete's amazing Saturn (to die for!) Virtually perfect "transparent finish..WOW!

BassAkward flyin' Alan's Resinger....(Claims this is the last contest for this beautiful and extremely successful Jim Silhavy Gypsy) and has been known to have dreams of building another one with a "small Block Chevy V-8" up front for power.

Last two shots...Potter's new hat and Dirty Dan's expressive new shirt. :)

(last...but far from least...is a new light weight battery that powers one of the most creative,  artistic and beautiful CLPA stunt models that flies as beautiful as it looks.

"they made us fly off of a 10 foot runway"  Mike Potter is just trying to get us interested in flying a little carrier and "over and under the DC-3 wing" is for our combat practice.  One must be well rounded.

Mark... Mark... Mark, Anyone can have a bad landing. I had one just like yours one year at the stuntathon even to the scraped cowl. What I have noticed about your new plane is, You fly it better than anything you have flown before. I am now impressed with your flying and how far you have come in such a short time. If you moved to Portland you would have more flying time but thats the way that goes. I think this plane will bring your skills along quit well. I would say that by the end of the season the other flyers in advanced will have to deal with your skills. Leo H^^ H^^ H^^ H^^ H^^ HB~>
